Takhini River
White Water Class: II-IIIOverview:
This day trip is suitable for canoeists with little whitewater experience. The Takhini River's proximity to the capital Whitehorse makes it a popular getaway.
However, you should not expect absolute wilderness. The road is near the river at several points and there are a few cabins along its path to the Yukon River.
It is possible to portage around the only class III rapid (The jaws of death).

The rental price is based on the recommended paddling days and will not change if you finish the trip earlier.
